 Welcome to an Eastern North  Carolina tradition.    Historical Sunny Side Oyster Bar, located in Williamston, NC, has been in operation since 1935.

Sunny Side Oyster Bar doesn't have a typical kitchen.  Our oysters are steamed out back, behind the restaurant, brought in by the peck, and shucked for you in an old fashioned, horseshoe shaped bar. Some of our shuckers have been here well over twenty years.  You will be amazed at their skills. Our oysters are served with the famous Sunny Side Sauce, poured from a simmering pot.

The craftsman frame building remains relatively the same as it stood 70 years ago and is listed in the NC State Historical Register.
